As an Illumineer in the wondrous realm of Lorcana, you’ll wield magical ink to summon new versions of Disney characters and items, which are called glimmers. These glimmers—some familiar, some fantastic—will help you as you race across Lorcana to find and collect missing pieces of lore. Endless quests await!
Planet JJs Geekery is super excited to host a'Disney Lorcana Casual League'! The League will be broken down in to Seasons (based upon the latest Lorcana Set) and run for 3 months.
Depending on number of players we may run a organised play session (a casual swiss tournament structure), where those wish to take part will be randomly paired up with others over a number of rounds and play matches (best of three games) with them, each round will be 50 minutes. The number of rounds will depend on the number of participants, generally there we be 3 or 4 rounds!
For those who do not wish to take part in the orgainsed play, you will be able to carry on playing and trading with others that are available!
At the end of the Monthly Disney Lorcana League event prizes (Promo Cards and Pins) will be given out to those who have gained the most points. Then at the end of the Season extra prizes will be given out to those who have scored the most over the Season!!!

There are different formats of Draft but generally at Planet JJs we do Booster Draft:
Booster Draft is a format where players open card packs, then play one-on-one games on the spot! Each deck should have at least 40 cards and should last an average length for a game (about 20 minutes (ish)).
How to draft: First, players sit around a table. Each player then opens a booster pack and picks a single card without showing the other players. Each player then passes the remaining cards to the left, and continues drafting from the new cards they get from the player on their right. This continues until all of the cards in those packs have been distributed (drafted). Then each player opens a second pack, but this time, pass the pack to the right. After all those cards are drafted, you do the same with the third pack, passing to the left again. At the end, each player will have about 45 cards (along with any number of basic lands) which they can use to build a 40 card deck.

What Is Magic Presents: A Villainous Halloween?
Magic Presents: A Villainous Halloween is a special Commander event offering a unique twist on the popular Magic format. Pokemon UNITE?
Pokémon UNITE is a strategic team battle game It is a free-to-start, cross-platform game available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. In the game, players face off against each other in 5-on-5 team battles. The gameplay is similar to other multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games.
Planet JJs Geekery is dipping its toes in to Pokémon Unite to see if there is an interest in creating a team or two, with the hope of competing in the Pokémon UNITE Championship Series! If you are interested or want to know more, let us know!
Our goal is just to have fun and enjoy the game, we will try to be competitive and all we ask is that you try your best!
All you need is your device (Switch or Mobile) and the game installed on that device!

Are you ready for an exciting challenge? You can now take on another Trainer at any time in Pokémon GO. With Trainer Battles, you can match up against another Trainer by using a Battle Code, then face off using a team of three Pokémon. When the battle is over, both participants receive great rewards, including a chance at rare Evolution items.
The fast-paced battles take place in real time, and your Pokémon can use both their Fast Attacks and Charged Attacks. Just keep an eye on your opponent’s attacks, and deploy a Protect Shield to save your Pokémon from taking critical damage. Be careful, though—you only have a limited number of Protect Shields before your Pokémon will be left defenseless against big attacks.

The various towns of the Paldea region blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over! You’ll experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.

League Cups feature an increased Championship Points payout and give players more opportunities to test their skills in preparation for larger events. League Cups offer a greater challenge and involve more competing players!

Every month (where possible) Planet JJs Geekery will host a TableTop Battles - Skirmish Session, the perfect time to play Combat Patrol, Spearhead, Necromunda, Warcry, Kill-team, Blood Bowl, Moonstone, Force Of Virtue or any other Skirmish like battle system.
There will be space for 4 Skirmish Sessions, and in store we have a selection of scenery, scatter and some models that can be used for your session, we do have some Kill Team Boards, Blood Bowl Pitch, and a couple of 3ft x 3ft Battle Maps.
Each player should book in use the button below - It is up to the players to arrange their own Skirmish Session with others, if you book in and turn up without arranging a Skirmish Session you will not be able to play.
There will be space for 4 Skirmish Sessions, and in store we have a selection of scenery, scatter and some models that can be used for your session, we do have some Kill Team Boards, Blood Bowl Pitch, and a couple of 3ft x 3ft Battle Maps.

Whether you are painting your first model or completing your newest team Planet JJs would like to invite you to our Sunday Painting Session, where fellow model and mini painters can get around a table share tips, hints, and skills while you paint. Our Sunday Painting Session will be happening on the Last Sunday of every month between 11:00 and 16:30! You don't have to attend the whole session, come early, come late, take break during - its all very flexible...
All you need to do is bring along your models/minis (ideally primed), brushes, tools, and paints (there will be a selection of some basic paints available for all to share) then sit back paint your models.

Trading Card Games (TCG) have become an important part of Planet JJs Geekery, and the more we learn about TCGs the more TCGs we find! We wish we could host each and every one of them, but we are running out of days of the week to host more events. So, we have decided to cheat a little and create a TCG Day, where people can book in and play TCGs all day long, maybe even discover a new TCG that someone else is playing. The aim of TCG Day is to be a very casual, relaxed event, where everyone can share their common joy of TCGs!
Obviously if you book in to play we cannot guarantee that there will be someone who wants to play the same TCG, so get a friend to book in too then there is nothing to worry about!
We are also asking for people to volunteer to become a sort of unofficial Ambassador for their TCG, so if someone is interested in learning more or even playing that TCG they have someone to go too during the event.
You can attend the whole event, part of the event, or come and go during the event it’s very flexible, spaces will be limited, booking will be essential!

TOG Night? What is a TOG Night? Well simply it is our Thursday Open Gaming Night! It’s very exciting, it’s great fun and it’s open to everyone who enjoy board games.
Once booked in you can just come along, meet like-minded people and play a game from our collection (or a game brought in by someone) with others. The whole idea is for people to mix and play games, so be prepared to play games with some great people and make new friends.
